This Friday, the Niagara Falls Incline Railway will re-open after nearly a full year of upgrades.
The 62 second trip will bring passengers from the bottom of the hill, near the Niagara Parks to the top at the Fallsview tourist area. The re-addition of the rail service is great news for tourist and will assist the disabled in traveling around the major tourist destinations of Niagara Falls.
Currently the trip costs riders $2.50 and will run from 10am to 6pm.
Niagara-on-the-lake is know as a terrific wine producing region, however they also produce some pretty impressive theater productions. The Shaw Fest, producing 10 to 12 plays a season, has been a Niagara-on-the-lake gem since the early 1960s. Active this month, is the Tuscan set play, The Light in the Piazza.
Running on July 13, 17, 19, and 21, the Light in the Piazza is a musical story that captures the romance of a 1953 Tuscan summer. A classic boy meets girl tale is enhance with terrific musical numbers and the powerful romance of the Italian country side. Come out to the Shaw Theater and enjoy this wonderful show.

Maybe the most important holiday of the summer, Canada Day is right around the corner. This year, like always, Niagara Falls will be a hot destination to spend your Canada Day. Queen Street Celebrations- In the downtown area of Niagara Falls, the city will be putting on a number of activities throughout the weekend. Highlighting the events on Queen Street will be the Canada Day parade and the annual 5km run.
Canada Day at Fort George- Slightly outside of the city, Fort George will be home to a number of events during Canada Day. Take part in a historical experience of the holiday with a pancake breakfast, BBQ and the 41st Regiment Fife and Drum Corps.
Fireworks Over the Falls- Nothing ends your weekend/night better than a fireworks display. Come out and line the Niagara Parkway to enjoy fireworks on Sunday night, starting at 10pm!
