With the recently created Family Day lurking around the corner, some are looking for the right activities to partake in. This year, Niagara Falls will be hosting an interactive War of 1812 Family Day Adventure at the Niagara Falls History Museum on Lundy’s Lane. The event consists of numerous activities including; a scavenger hunt, food demonstrations, 1812 dessert samples, dancing and drummer, and War of 1812 related demonstrations.
History buff or not, this is an event that everyone in the family will enjoy. Not only will the youngsters learn about the historic region they live in, but they’ll have fun at the same time. Starting February 9, the Butterfly Conservatory will be once again hosting their venomous animal exhibit. Kevin Dungey, aka “Caiman Kevin”, from Little Ray’s Reptile Zoo of Ottawa, will be leading educational presentations on venomous animal from around the world. The presentations will include scorpions, highly poisonous toads, tarantula, rattlesnakes, vipers and one King Cobra.
The programs will offer children a unique learning environment that is sure to include some exciting and maybe even scary moments. Learn about the distinctive features that make these animals so dangerous, while also understanding the myths that are associated with such creatures. The exhibit runs from February 9 – May 12.

The legendary Ontario rock band, Honeymoon Suite will be playing at the Greg Frewin Theater on February 2nd. The performance will take place at 7:30pm following the dinner that starts at 6:15pm. Tickets can be purchased to enjoy dinner and the show, or patrons can choose to purchase just tickets for the performance.
Honeymoon Suite began their illustrious career in Toronto in the early 1980s. By 1983, the band was touring Canada and the US will rock legends such as Billy Idol, April Wine and Bryan Adams.
